Artful Mix of Styles Opens Up a Commercial Landscape

Program

Dubbed Rancho Santa Fe, after the San Diego suburb, this landscape design project involved transporting a Southern California look and feel to the already beautiful scenery surrounding the Furongzhang Scenic Resort. The lush surroundings give residents visual delights around every aspect of the high-end villas.

Design

Bordering the Furongzhang Reservoir and Wangzishan Forest Park on three sides of the development, the newly created Rancho Santa Fe is surrounded by bountiful vegetation and spectacular views. The landscape was specifically designed to create natural ecological nodes and comfortable waterfront viewing areas.

Now, walkways wind throughout the property, giving guests the opportunity to stroll through bamboo forests and take in the area’s natural beauty. The Spanish influence can be clearly seen in the inviting greenery and vegetation throughout the expanse of the property.

Pools, fountains, and ponds dot the area, giving guests a place for quiet repose while intricate stonework in the walkways, steps, and patios capture the Southern California vibe. Convenient bike paths connect the property and allow for easy movement among the villas or for trips throughout the area. The entire resort is now easily accessible for residents and guests of all ages.
